Mr. Wenyin Gong, who comes from China, was a joint-PhD student at the Data Mining Lab, Dept. of Computer Science, The University of Western Ontario, from Oct. 2008 to Dec. 2009. He received the B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in computer science and technology from China University of Geosciences, Wuhan, China, in 2004 and 2007, respectively. In June 2010, he received his Ph.D. degree in Geoscience Information Engineering from China University of Geosciences (CUG), Wuhan, China. His research interests include intelligent computation, evolutionary data mining, constrained optimization, multi-objective optimization and their applications in engineering optimization.
